Philip Kennedy

Philip Kennedy is an educator, writer and illustrator living and working in Dublin. Currently he is an Assistant Lecturer at Ireland's National College of Art & Design, where he leads the BA course in Illustration. He has a strong commitment to scholarly research and a particular interest in exploring the function and role of research within contemporary illustration practice.

As an educator, he has worked for several organisations where he has developed and delivered workshops for children, teens and adults. Originally a student of Fine Art & Art History, he completed an MA in Illustration in 2014. He frequently writes about the history of illustration and continues to work as an illustrator, where he enjoys collaborating on cultural, educational and not-for-profit work.
